I immediately fell in love with Caitlin and Johnny when I met them. We have been so blessed with the couples we’ve worked with in the past, and will be blessed with all the couples we will have the chance to work with in the future. We always have the most amazing couples pick us to be their wedding photographers, and Caitlin and Johnny have been one of our favorites. Their energy is so amazing, and they are beyond cute together.
One of the first things Caitlin said during our initial conversation was that they wanted to do their engagement session on her family’s property. I loved the idea! I always enjoy it when our couples take us to private properties that hold special meaning to them for their engagement session.
Once we all met and chatted more about their session, we figured out that we wanted to add the Circleville firehouse to the mix for their engagement photography session since that is a large part of their lives. Johnny is a fireman.
We started the day in Circleville at the fire department to grab a couple of fun pictures of the fire truck and Johnny in his fire clothes. I absolutely love the images we got from the firehouse. The sun was so bright it made the red of the fire truck really stand out. All the colors just popped! When we were finished at the fire house we drove up to Hilliard to her family’s property.
The GPS ended up sending me into a field, haha, but luckily they were only a road away and her family’s property was on the other side of the field. They had already changed while I was navigating the GPS, so that worked out great! I got to meet Caitlin’s adorable Grandpa and off we went in the golf cart into the woods and then the fields. I totally fell in love with the property. It is truly a gorgeous location and I am so happy Caitlin and Johnny selected it, not only for its meaning since it is a family property, but for the fact that it is gorgeous. I couldn’t have imagined a better evening than the one I was able to spend with them taking their engagement pictures.
I cannot wait for their May wedding this year. I am jumping for joy at the fact that we get to spend more time with them and catch the memories of their wedding day in images that will last a lifetime.
I am an Ohio based photographer who loves photographing weddings and engagements, traveling to beautiful sandy beaches, running after our adorable son Wyatt and border collie Bentley. A chips and salsa freak. Lover of coconut smelling lotions - candles - tea - desserts and... well anything that smells coconuty, and finally warm summer nights on our patio! Come hang out with me on Instagram and Facebook!
