Delaware Ohio Wedding Photographer Brookshire Wedding Venue

Hello everyone!  I am excited to share with you Alison and Mark’s wedding at Brookshire in Delaware Ohio.  They had a lovely wedding in 2013 at Brookshire in the summer time when it was warm outside! I know that might be a hard thing to imagine right now with this chilly weather.

Alison and Mark started out their day at the lovely St. Michael Catholic Church in Worthington Ohio.  There was a crazy thunderstorm going on during their ceremony, but you wouldn’t have known at all from how excited Alison was to see Mark by the Alter!  Alison was absolutely gorgeous in her lace wedding dress. It had just the right amount of lace to give off a romantic classic look.  Her veil was so pretty, it was a gorgeous long veil that had lace edging that matched her dress perfectly.  Mark was dressed in a gray suit which of course is one of my favorites! He looked dashing in the suit and a perfect match for Alison’s dress.   The ceremony was gorgeous as all ceremonies were.   During the ceremony the excitement between Alison and Mark was bursting.  They were all smiles and could hardly contain their excitement for getting married and becoming husband and wife.

After the ceremony the clouds broke for the day and they were able to do a grand exit from the church to see all of their guests!  We finished up with family formals and formals of them at St. Michael Catholic church and then headed to Westerville.  Alison and Mark had an awesome idea and treat for their bridal party! We ran around Uptown Westerville for a little while to grab some candid shots of the bridal party and then the fun began! We all headed over to Greater’s for some yummy ice cream! It was a perfect treat on what became a hot July day.  The bridal party enjoy some great ice cream, got to hang out, and enjoy the day with everyone before the reception festivities.

Once all the ice cream was gone everyone headed over to Brookshire for their reception.  I was able to get there a little early to grab some awesome shots of everything set up before the guests arrived.  I love being able to have that extra time to get these reception shots! Since most of the time the bride and groom are the last ones in the reception rooms they never really know what it looks like before the guests come into it.  The couple has a vision of what they want the reception hall to look like – but without actually seeing it without people they don’t get the full effect of how it looked untouched.  Having those couple of minutes before the guests arrive gives me a great chance to really take some detail shots of the reception hall for you two to enjoy after the wedding.  Alison and Mark did an amazing job with every detail looking perfect at the dining area for the reception.  The Brookshire staff was extremely helpful in putting everything out and making sure everything looked perfect.  They had soft purple lighting throughout the room to really play on the purple colors that Alison and Mark chose.

Alison, Mark and I were able to grab a couple of extra shots of them at Brookshire before they were announced in and enjoyed the evening.  I was so thrilled that we were able to get outside again and enjoy the fields at Brookshire.  There is some gorgeous land there and it is always a treat to get pictures there.  I can not recommend Brookshire enough as an awesome wedding venue. It is on my top list for wedding venues in Delaware, Ohio 🙂
