1. Bryn Du Mansion – 537 Jones Rd, Granville, OH 43023

It is located in Licking county near the heart of Granville.  The mansion sits up on this gorgeous hill overlooking a huge grassy field.  The mansion itself has 52 acres that it is on.  It is also in the National Register of Historic Places. There is a total of 8 buildings on the grounds with gorgeous gardens throughout.   Here are some pictures taken on the grounds near one of the gardens. There are several locations on the grounds and in the buildings to have weddings.

2. Little Brook Meadows –  100 Edgewood Dr, Lancaster, OH 43130

Little Brook Meadows is located in Lancaster Ohio just South of Columbus.  It is also a gorgeous house and barn sitting on 50 acres of land.   The house has 8,000 sq footage for your bridal party to stay and get ready in.  It is just a short walk across to the Barn.  The Barn itself has a rustic interior that is perfect for any wedding that wants hints of rustic, country and classic.  You can get married on the grounds or in the barn.  They have gorgeous trees and a pond that is perfect for any outdoor ceremony.

3. Dock 580|  580 N 4th St | Columbus, OH 43215 |

Dock 580 in Columbus has The Loft and The Venue.  I have only been in The Loft, but I did check out The Venue and it looks awesome! It is located in the historic Smith Bros’ Hardware building.  It offers a urban feel to your wedding being in Columbus.  The Loft has an awesome cut out between the bottom and top floor which provides  your guests the ability to either be downstairs dancing the night away or upstairs chatting while still enjoying the party downstairs.  There are some great urban spaces nearby for some unique urban pictures!

4. Franklin Park Conservatory  –  1777 E Broad St Columbus, Oh 43203

Franklin Park Conservatory is located in Columbus and provides several locations for weddings  – inside and outside.   The conservatory offers tons and tons of spaces to grab some awesome pictures.  One of my couples that I photographed there stayed after their early reception ending so that we could go back through the conservatory and take an extra hour to take more pictures throughout the rooms.  I was in love with this idea! I mean hey, any time that you give me more time to get more pictures with you I am excited no matter where it is!  The outside gardens are gorgeous as well and provide great backgrounds for either your wedding or just general pictures before and after your ceremony and reception!

5. Brookshire  405 Greif Parkway Delaware, Ohio 43015

Brookshire is located just north of Columbus in Delaware County.  It is situated in a little nook off the main highway that gives it privacy, but close to Columbus.   It has as cute garden outside and terrace that is perfect for weddings and the interior of the building is to die for. It is absolutely gorgeous in the main room and has tons to offer to customize and make it your own.

6. Scioto Reserve Country Club –  7383 Scioto Pkwy, Powell, OH 43065

Scioto Reserve Country Club has a special place in my heart like Brookshire does.  I consider both Brookshire and Scioto Reserve as being in my backyard-  or maybe my old backyard I should say?  Since I grew up right in Lewis Center then Scioto Reserve and Brookshire are just a hop, skip and jump away from where I grew up.  They have a gorgeous golf course perfect for pictures before and after your ceremony and reception.  The outdoor venue by the pool is gorgeous and the interior room is also great.  Have you seen the getting ready rooms for the guys and girls?  They are pretty awesome!

7. Buckeye Lake Yacht Club –  P.O Box 867 Buckeye Lake, OH 43008

The Buckeye Lake Yacht Club is a unique venue.  I will mention that you have to have a sponsor/know a member of the yacht club.  If you know that you are in love with this venue then put a message out into the universe or just facebook to see if there are any connections that you can use to get a sponsor.   The yacht club is a small, intimate venue that is perfect for any couple who loves the water.  You get married right by the water and have boats nearby the entire time.  It is gorgeous around sunset and the decking is a great place for dancing all nights. Sarah did an awesome job at the yacht club to add in details and tons of DIY wedding details to make the yacht club reflect her and rich as a couple.

8. Private homes/locations – Backyard Weddings

Private homes and intimate locations are some of my favorites wedding ceremonies and receptions.  I have done several weddings at family members homes of the bride and groom.  They provide a unique backdrop for the weddings and ceremonies.  The gatherings are usually smaller around 50 and under since they are in backyards.  These weddings have been surrounding by awesome DIY couples that really trasnform the backyards into gorgeous weddings.  So – if you aren’t sure about a public wedding venue, maybe look into your family and friend’s backyards – you never know what gems are there that will provide a intimate site for your vows!
