The Table

Our Life

May 24, 2012

I have been on a search for a table that I could use outside on the patio as 1. a good old dining table that was low enough for the shorter chairs outside, but high enough that you weren’t eating in your lap.  2. A table that could easily go upstairs when I want to work outside in the summer on the screened patio.  3. It needed to be cheap and unique.

I finally found the table the other day. It needs some serious TLC.  A bath, much sanding, new paint job and a nice coat of poly and it is good to go! It came with chairs that I really do not need – but eh, they can hang out in the garage on the random chance I need them. I will most likely fix them up as well and use them for any shoots since they are lightweight and easily portable.  I secretly love pictures of someone in a field sitting in a chair. Those pictures make me smile.  They just chopped down all the grass in the field next to me though, so maybe another field close by.

Here is the table. The new project. I have yet to figure out what color it is going to be. It looks like the wood under it is pretty, but getting down to the wood and seeing what all of it looks like might be scary.  I will let you know how the table turns out! I have high hopes for this little critter!

I heart drop leaf tables

I am not really 100% positive what is going on underneath.  One side has these hinges and the other doesn’t – the fun thing is that it looks like the one side never did. There are no holes that are exposed or covered up with wood filler.  Each side is very sturdy, so I have no idea.

I am an Ohio based photographer who loves photographing weddings and engagements, traveling to beautiful sandy beaches, running after our adorable son Wyatt and border collie Bentley. Lover of  coconut smelling lotions - candles - tea  - desserts and... well anything that smells coconuty, and finally warm summer nights on our patio!  Come hang out with me on Instagram and Facebook!
