Pete and Jen were married on September 29th, 2012  in Pleasantville, Ohio.   They planned an intimate outdoor wedding on Jen’s grandparents land.  I met up with them a couple weeks before the wedding to check out the farm and fell in love with it.   The day of the wedding when I arrived Jen was running around setting up some last minute details around the yard and Pete was running around as well working on some last minute details.  Once the outdoor area looked amazing I headed inside with Jen to photograph her getting ready for their big day.  Jen is such a relaxed and laid back person that I knew she would breeze through getting ready and finishing up all the details with no problems at all.  She did her make up and her hair, her mother helped her into her dress and they were ready for the wedding.  Pete and Jen set up their ceremony site facing the large red barn that is on her grandparents farm.  Pete worked on making a cross out of grapevines that it hung above the area where they took their vows.  Jen was an absolute vision in her dress and Pete looked so handsome standing up by the barn waiting on his bride to be.  They were surrounding by their closest relatives and friends.

After the ceremony was over and we took some amazing family formals in front of the barn – I headed out with just Jen and Pete to snap some creative formals of just them.  This is always one of my favorite times during the wedding day since I get a chance to have some quiet time with just the bride and groom. An added bonus is that the couples get to sneak away from the wedding and enjoy some quiet time of their own while I snap away.  The day couldn’t have been any better for the lighting.  The sun was breaking through the clouds in such a gorgeous way that had rays of lights streaming across them in their photos.  We walked down to a neighboring barn to take some more pictures and then headed back to the house to enjoy their outdoor reception.

Jen and Pete took an amazing amount of time and thought into the details of their wedding and how they wanted their reception area to look. I absolutely  loved photographing everything that they had done.  Their loved ones enjoyed all the details as well!! The food was absolutely amazing and was done by an amazing caterer that I will have to get the name of.  I believe if I can remember correctly she is from North Carolina.  Their guests enjoyed the food, the music and being able to chat with each other for the evening.
