I am happy I have a kayak.
I might need it this afternoon as my backyard turns into a GIANT pond. I’m excited. I need to put the new tag on it that is still hanging on the fridge… oops.
This past weekend was a little nuts (seriously, what weekend around here isn’t nuts?). I photographed Helen and Bruce’s wedding in Grandview, Ohio and their reception in German Village on Saturday. It was an absolute blast and I can not wait to tell everyone about it and show you pictures. They were the happiest couple ever. Helen is so adorably sweet – I had actually not met her until the day of the wedding. I was a little nervous, since normally I have most of my interactions with the bride and not the groom. It was a fun change of pace! They have THE cutest daughter EVER. Seriously, just wait till you see Emma. She was all smiles for the entire day!
On Sunday, I was a guest at another wedding here locally in Pleasantville, OH. I became the unofficial photographer for Shelby and Bruce ( Another Bruce! He goes by Cruiser though, I think its just fun to have another wedding with the same first names, during the same weekend!). I am friends with Shelby and her relatives – he uncle is one of my neighbors. He helped me a ton when I first moved down here – he had lots of cookouts and I was able to meet a lot of my other neighbors around here. Shelby and Cruiser ended up not having a photographer at their wedding and I was more then happy to snap a couple of formals of the family before we all gorged ourselves on delicious food. I shot her senior pictures last year, so it was amazing to be apart of another milestone in her life with Cruiser.
I am currently plugging away at downloading, uploading, organizing, editing all the pictures from this weekend. I am also doing a major renovation to my website. This site will stay the exact same (maybe a couple small changes), but the site that currently houses my Portfolio will go through a major change. I will let you all know when I am finished with it. I am going to try and get it done this week if at all possible – we shall see! You will love it though when it is finished. Easier navigation, more galleries to showcase all of my client’s beautiful faces and amazing wedding pictures, more information about me, and more appealing on the eyes. I am already in love with it and its not even a quarter of the way done!
The chicken coop was also finished on Sunday. Wait… what? You have chickens… oh yes… I do. The inside is done at least and they are happily living in the coop. The exterior needs some serious TLC – new paint job and some framing boards need to be replaced. The run also needs to be made – hoping over the next couple of weeks that is able to get finished.
Here is a picture from yesterday morning – I woke up early ( 6:30 ) and saw the gorgeous sunrise on the only non rainy day of the week.
I am an Ohio based photographer who loves photographing weddings and engagements, traveling to beautiful sandy beaches, running after our adorable son Wyatt and border collie Bentley. A chips and salsa freak. Lover of coconut smelling lotions - candles - tea - desserts and... well anything that smells coconuty, and finally warm summer nights on our patio! Come hang out with me on Instagram and Facebook!
