Highbanks Metro Park Engagement Session

Joe and Melissa were married yesterday and I am beyond trilled to be able to share with you a teaser from their wedding on Monday!

Today you get to see their adorable engagement session at Highbanks Metro Park in Lewis Center.  This park is near and dear to my heart since it was the closest trail park to where I grew up.  Highbanks always has amazing trails great for bringing your dog, running, hiking around and lovely meadows to walk through.  I met with Melissa, Joe, Melissa’s mom Linda and Melissa and Joe’s adorable dog Finn!  We met by the coyote run trail and went on a couple of the paths nearby.  I was happy that we didn’t get rained out – this rainy weather that we had in late Spring/early Summer has been insane.  A couple of the trails were to muddy to go on, but there were still lots of awesome trails and Yay! Since we have had so much rain, everything was so lush, green, and blooming!

We started out on some of the trails and I loved how Joe so easily makes Melissa laugh! It is adorable!  Finn joined in for a couple of pictures during the trail shots and then we went off to a quick wardrobe change.  I loved the scarf and blue shirt the Melissa had! I have a love… no an obsession with scarves so I was super excited to see that she had one!  If I could wear a scarf ever day in the summer without croaking of heat exhaustion then I totally would!   Joe and Melissa were excited to head to the meadows for some pictures and I must say, the meadows and their outfits worked perfect! I love the contrasting blue and green!   We played in the meadow grasses and Finn joined us again for some pictures!   We finished up the session right around sunset with some amazing lighting!
