Justine and Jeremy were married on a gorgeous day in June last year. We had all been watching the weather as forecasters kept changing their predictions almost daily. They’d call for rain one day, and then take it out of the forecast the next. Their wedding day came and the weather was marvelous with a nice, bright sun and a light breeze to cool everyone off!
Justine and Jeremy were married at the Makoy Center in Hilliard, Ohio. The center has a beautiful little garden space that is perfect for weddings as it overlooks a cute pond. If the garden wasn’t adorable enough, they have a nice bike trail that goes right into the woods that we used for a bunch of sunset portraits!
Justine and Jeremy are so unbelievably cute together. They easily make each other laugh and truly bring out the best in each other. Their unwavering devotion to each other is amazing, and how they relate to each other truly shows that they embrace God and bring Him into their relationship.
They did a First Look, and I am so happy that they chose to do this because the morning was a little crazy as all wedding mornings can be. When Justine and Jeremy saw each other for their First Look, a flood of emotions came over both of them as they held each other and talked. I love First Looks so much because they really bring a sense of calm and serenity to the bride and groom right before they walk down the aisle.
I know First Looks aren’t for everyone, and that is totally okay! For Justine and Jeremy, I couldn’t imagine them not doing a First Look. Justine looked beautiful in her handmade gown by Laura’s Boutique, and Jeremy had on a navy blue, gray suit that looked so handsome. I think he might be our first groom ever to wear a suit that had navy blue in it and I have to say… I am in love with it! I love me some gray suits, but the hint of blue was a perfect compliment to the navy blue in the bouquets and woven throughout the wedding.
One thing I truly loved during the ceremony is that they had a moment to themselves where they were facing the pond as their friend sang….it was beautiful. In many ceremonies with live music our couples face whoever is singing, but Justine and Jeremy turned and faced each other, which I thought was gorgeous. This gave them some private moments during the ceremony. I can only imagine what they were saying to each other during those minutes. I am sure it was beautiful, and part of the beauty of it is that they will be the only two that will ever know what was said!
I love ceremonies, and having those little private moments between just the bride and groom really bring a wedding back to what the day is all about…the love, and the bride and groom joining together.
We could not have asked for a better day for Justine and Jeremy. I know I say this about every wedding, but we really do truly love getting to know the families and friends of our couples. We spend 8+ hours with all of them and really get to know them! We get moments here and there to chat with guests and we soak these moments up as we learn so much more about our couples.
Justine and Jeremy, your family and friends love you so much, and we do too!
