Easter Egg Hunts are always a blast this time of year. I was driving around town and saw a sign that said 25,000 eggs in an egg hunt. I was like what!? 25,000 eggs!! That is an INSANE amount of eggs. I called up my sister right away to see if she wanted to bring Andrew and Ethan down for the egg hunt. I figured with 25,000 eggs they are bound to at least get 10 eggs right? Zac is currently deployed so I knew Heather would be looking for things to do with the kids to keep them busy while he is away!
We set up a time to meet on Saturday, called my mom to join in on the fun and all met down there around 10:30ish at Miler Park where the egg hunt was being held. Driving down 33 you could see the volunteers from Crossroads putting out easter eggs and setting everything up. They had 3 different egg hunts that went off at different times. a 1-3 level, 4- 7 I believe and then 8 and above. I know Ethan was in the first grouping since he is only 2 and Andrew coming in at 4 was in the second group. Each egg hunt area was caution taped off so that it was semi organized – until the air horn went off and then it was like a fish frenzy to get to the eggs!
They had a couple of other activities set up besides the egg hunt – face painting, 2 bounce houses, a blow up basketball shooting area, live animals including horses, cow, some goats! It was pretty interesting! Ethan of course wanted to play basketball and Andrew ended up going in one of the bounce houses while we were leaving after the egg hunt. Ethan attempted to go in the bounce house – he got his little head in there, looked around and decided it was not for him!
It was a blast for a family activity! We will most likely be going back next year to enjoy more of the MegaEgg Hunt!
Look at all those eggs!
Ethan’s egg basket! He did pretty good for himself!
Andrew sprinting to eggs!
The picture above cracks me up – Andrew and then the millions of other kids behind him! He took off running when the air horn blew!
