I hope everyone had an amazing Easter weekend! We had a blast over here! We all started Saturday morning with an easter brunch with my sister and nephews at the Messiah Lutheren church. We said hello to the Easter bunny – Ethan was terrified of the bunny. Literally scared. Andrew was a bit shy to – the bunny kind of had some creepy eyes going on. I was holding Ethan and once Andrew was done with the bunny Ethan was clinging for dear life and trying to escape the room. I think he thought he was going to be next!
After the bunny we headed downstairs to do some crafts. Andrew and Ethan decorated an easter basket, made some butterflies, decorated a foam easter egg with stickers and then took a brown bag bunny puppet kit home for later. The bunny puppets were a hot item and the room was a little crowded since it was so popular. It was super cute! After all the fun crafts we listened to the Easter story and then headed outside for the Easter egg hunt!
We then left the church and headed up to my parents house for the rest of the Easter celebrations. We had lots of snacks to munch on while everyone was hanging out. Then we started on the baskets and the boys did very well for themselves. They got lots of yummy treats, some summer outfits and toys. I got lots of Peeps!! I have a small obsession with peeps. Once the baskets were done we headed outside to find some Easter eggs. Andrew was an egg hoarding bandit. He figured out that it was much easier to leave his basket in one spot and run around the yard to gather as many as he could hold in his hands then dump them all into the basket. He got TONS more eggs then Ethan does – Ethan was a bit slower on figuring out how to do the Easter eggs. Towards the end he did follow his brothers lead by leaving his basket in one spot and collecting eggs to drop into the basket once his hands were full!
We all came inside after the hunt to grab some more food then head back outside to enjoy the spring sun! Later on we ate an early dinner and had some bunny cake that I made! I enjoy trying to bake!
Enjoy some pictures from the day!
Bentley loves being in on all the action!
Bentley really wanted to partake in all the action that was going on outside
Notice the strung eggs? My mom and I went to Frankenmuth Michigan a week or so ago and we saw all these cute decorations done with eggs that were strung on fish wire. So… guess what we did when we got home! My mom strung these for her door and then I strung some for around my light post!
My awesome baking. Yep. I rock at baking… but I think I will keep photography and not become a baker!
