Corinne and Tristan fell in love with the property at Irongate Equestrian Center in Hartford, Ohio.  It is so easy to see why they fell in love with the property with the gorgeous and classic white patios for days, rolling hills, endless fields lined with perfect white fencing.  It is a real treat to photograph a wedding at Irongate Equestrian Center and I am so honored that Tristan and Corinne chose us to spend the day with them. They were a delight to photograph and totally rolled with all the weather changing their plans for an outdoor ceremony.

The forecast for their wedding day was crazy and seemed to line right up with what they were used to.  There were constant jokes during the day about how it always rains on them!  They should have a TON of good luck with all the rain they had for both their engagement session and their wedding day.  Scott and I were watching the radar like hawks (legit… I have 3 weather apps on my phone!).  We were able to still have ALL the wedding party portraits and their portraits outside because of all the gorgeous and covered patios of Irongate.  The guys were able to sneak outside of the covered patios when there was a break in the rain.

I am always so thankful when our couples trust us on the crazy weather days on their wedding day.  We know that a lot of rain or HUGE thunderstorms like what happened to Corinne and Tristan are not what you have planned for your wedding day.  We make it work and find little spots all over to still get a ton of variety in your portraits even if you aren’t actually moving around a lot to different locations.  It makes us be a bit more creative to move flowered pots around, duck behind a railing or stand out in the rain under an umbrella to get that great classic shot!

One thing we NEVER want you to worry about during a wedding day is where your pictures are going to happen. You should be focused on enjoying your family, friends and making beautiful memories at your wedding, while we worry about dodging the puddles on the ground and keeping you dry!
