When I met Justin and Kim last year there was an instant connection. I fell in love with their story, their personalities and what they were planning for their wedding. Their wedding had me back up in Celina Ohio. I have awesome memories of Celina from being up there for Kelsey and Tom’s wedding the year before. Kim, Justin and I had met earlier in the spring of 2012 for their engagement session in Columbus Ohio. You can check out their engagement session Here if you haven’t seen it. We went on the Scioto Mile for majority of the session and spent the rest of the session at Schiller Park in German Village in Columbus Ohio.
I met up with Kim at Justin’s parents house the morning of their wedding. All of the girls were getting ready at Justin’s parents house while the guys were getting ready about 15 minutes away. Just like today’s weather – we had some rain going on! We worked it out though and the neighbor had a gorgeous wrapped around covered porch that we used for the formals of the girls. It rained all morning! I had gotten super lucky for most of my 2012 weddings with having no rain so this was a little different having rain planned for an outdoor wedding! The rain did stop for… the ceremony, almost all the formals after the ceremony – it started to sprinkle right when we were wrapping up, it stayed dry for the majority of the reception!
They had a lovely and intimate outdoor wedding ceremony by the lake at the Mercer County Elks Golf Course . The bridal party helped set everything up before the guests arrived. The chairs had to be wiped off since it had been raining all morning. It was a gorgeous wedding ceremony between Justin and Kim. They were both so emotional and you could see how much they loved each other and appreciated one another. After the ceremony we quickly grabbed the golf carts and headed out on the course. We weren’t really sure how much time without rain we were going to get – but it all worked out and we got some awesome photos before the rain came. We did the family formals and right at the very end we got a couple sprinkles in. We then headed into the tent for the reception. They had a live band which was AWESOME. I am always a fan of live bands since they really bring the reception alive. Everyone danced and partied into the evening! Even when some rain came it didn’t stop anyone from partying the night away.
Here are some clips from their day! I hope you enjoy!
