I am back from the beach. Tear. I could have easily spent another week… or two… or three just vegging on the beach doing nothing but frying myself. My inbox would have looked scary, Bentley would have forgotten who I was, the chickens would have stayed chickens, Charlie would have continued to be a very lonely kitten, my weeds would have taken over my yard… oh wait… they did that anyway.
I am back. The first week back was anything but busy! This week is looking like it will be busy as well, as with the rest of August. I am so excited for the up coming weddings, engagement shoots, high school senior shoots and baby sessions. Yippie! I have some upcoming surprises for blog that I have been working on over the past month as well. I can not wait to unveil those!
Another exciting thing that happened today… The chickens FINALLY decided to start paying rent! I found 3 eggs this morning! I was extremely excited about this since I have had them now since April with no eggs. I figured they were not going to start laying till the end of August – so this was a great surprise to find 3 this morning. They were just perfect little egg shaped, brown eggs. 2 were in the nesting boxes ( brownie points for those birds!) and one was on the ground ( no brownie points for her ). I can’t wait to go out there tomorrow to see what I can find! I believe that not all of them have started laying and they might not till the end of August… I don’t know which kind is laying at the moment. I am guessing the Rhode Island Red since I have 3 of those. We shall see!
Here is a picture the eggs!
How gorgeous is that! LOVE morning light!
One of the fun things that you will be seeing more of is some new actions that I am playing with. This was my first chance tonight to really play with a couple. I already have 3 favorites that I know I will be using for certain images. I do still enjoy the crisp, bright and clean images that I produce… but its always fun to add an extra somethin’, somethin’ to the mix every now and then!
Now, I must get back to editing!
