Apple picking fun

Our Life

Fall is in the air!

A couple weeks ago I tagged along with my sister and nephews to Lynd’s Fruit Farm in Pataskala Ohio.  I have always wanted to pick apples, but have never had the chance.  There was just something that I find really neat about being able to pick your own apples from a tree and eat them.  When we were younger my mom would take us to Circle S farms and we would pick raspberries every year.  We would come home with tons and tons of raspberries. We would have trays of them in the fridge for days or weeks… I am not for sure.. I was little and had no concept of time what-so-ever.  Raspberries and vanilla ice cream were a staple during that time at the house. Yum!

Wait… back to apples.   So, I tagged along to the fruit farm.  It. Was. Nuts. I first drove the wrong direction on the main road and was going into residential area.  Called the sister and she was like oh yeah, go the other way. So I drove 10 minutes back the other direction to get into the line-up to go into the farm.  The line up was insane! I had never expected there to be a back up to get into the farm and I hear it is a common thing.  We went to pick honeycrisp apples.  There were people there who had clothes baskets  – multiple baskets filled with these apples. I am still trying to figure out what you do with all those apples! I only got a little bag and I am still eating them!

Bentley loves apples!

Andrew was clinging to my arm for awhile – it made taking pictures pretty fun.
