We were beyond excited when we spoke with Katlyn and Jeremy about their destination wedding in Florida. They vacationed at Anna Maria Island often with Katlyn’s family and it was the perfect spot for them to tie the knot! They had their wedding ceremony oceanfront right outside of their reception venue The Sandbar. Katlyn had sent me lots of information months before the ceremony and I fell in love with the venue. The Sandbar is right on the beach and provides a gorgeous overlook of the ocean and amazing sunsets. In the morning everyone was over at The Sand Bar working on setting up all of the tables and beautiful centerpieces. They all put in so much work to make the day look amazing and it really showed. Everyone headed back over to the Tortuga Inn to get ready. Scott and I had checked out the The Sandbar and the Tortuga Inn the day before, so we had some ideas on where we wanted to take some pictures before the ceremony and after the ceremony. The hotel had a lush green walkway from the pool to many of the condos and I knew it would be a perfect spot to take Katlyn for some portraits before heading to the beach to finish up and head to the ceremony. The greens were such a nice contrast to her pink bouquet. She made her bouquet and her bridesmaids bouquet out of fabric and they were gorgeous! It always amazes me when we have couples that make their own details – the details are also so unique and that much more meaningful to everyone since they are handmade.
Katlyn and Jeremy were surrounding by family and friends on the beach for their intimate oceanfront wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony where they included Jeremy’s daughter in the sand ceremony. Scott and I did a sand ceremony at our wedding and seeing that they were doing one too brought up memories of when we did our sand ceremony on the beach in North Carolina.
We absolutely loved photographing Katlyn and Jeremy’s destination wedding. It was a magical experience and so beautiful. It was amazing to see the love that their family and friends have for them to travel to Florida and celebrate their love!
